Driving time: from Provo approximately 20 minutes.
The Byway winds through wonderful Provo Canyon, past Bridal Veil Falls and
Deer Creek Reservoir, and on to Heber Valley. The road runs parallel of the Provo River, one of the world's premiere fly-fishing streams. The dynamic forces of a past era are revealed in the canyon's gnarled rock walls and jagged rock formations, lush with forest vegetation.
Bridal Veil Falls, a double-cataract waterfall, can be seen from the road. It takes its name from the intricate, lacy pattern the water makes as it flows over rock boulders. Traveling on I-15 south Exit 272 and head east on 800 North (SR-52) until you come to US-189 (University Ave) and Provo Canyon. The Provo Canyon Scenic Byway is 28 miles long and travel time is about 45 minutes.
