Utah Skiing & Snowboarding

Sundance Resort Stay 3 Ski Free Lodging Package (2008-2009)

Other 2008 - 2009 Lodging Packages

For some people, skiing or snowboarding is the penultimate Utah winter experience, and planning ski vacations in Utah Valley is easy with our listings for Utah ski areas. Imagine a sunny winter morning. The air is crisp in a way to which fall mornings can only aspire. Arriving at the mountain, you step outside and are greeted with a clean sharpness of air you’ve only read about in “Powder” magazine. You breathe in deeply through your nose, filling your lungs with air so cold and clean it politely burns your lungs, heightening the lack of oxygen at higher altitudes.

Snowboarding at Sundance Resort

A look around reveals peaks firm and jagged, stoically reaching for the sky. The mountainside is covered in a fresh overnight snow, and shimmers in the sun like millions of twinkling stars. The mountains look pasted against an impossibly blue sky. The images are somehow made clearer by the cold air, opening up details your mind never seemed to register before.

The hub of winter skiing activity in Utah Valley is Sundance Resort and the surrounding American Fork Canyon area. Sundance is located on 6,000 acres of unspoiled wilderness, giving skiiers access to 450 acres of famous Utah powder in the shadow of Mt. Timpanogos. Sundance skiing provides nearly 50 runs in a pristine setting that takes skiing back to its roots. Owned by Actor/Director Robert Redford, the resort has over 2100 vertical feet of terrain to satisfy even the most black diamond-hungry fiends. Skiers and Snowboarders alike have access to groomed trails and first turns in fresh powder via a high-speed quad, and several triple chair lifts.
